The King and The Kidney.

I Haven't been around folks, because my nephew got a PERFECT kidney from his Mom this month. Transplant was "Clockwork" the Doctor said... The King witnessed another miracle.

The Kid is TOUGH ...'Nuff said.

I wasn't the donor...nor the recipient...but I am the relieved and happy King of New York Hacks.
...Become a donor if not already. Life gets to go on...and that's a great thing my friends. Peace out Peepers...and donors. ;-)

  7. That is such glorious news. As an RN for almost 45 years, I've always encouraged people to give the gift of life. Donating blood, becoming an organ donor are both important ways that we can help our fellow man.

  15. Hello!
I'm just passing by, as we all do in this life. everything is passing, so nothing is really yours; nor your house, your clothes or something that you 'think' you own. No, I'm not too religious, don't you think that, I'm just a woman who decided to see life through different eyes. :) To see happiness in little tiny things and situations.

Good luck and peace in your soul!

  18. Good luck and best wishes to your nephew and his mom! That's an honorable thing she did. I am already an organ donor and encourage everyone I know to do the same. I'm not going to need them after I'm gone, and it's nice to think a part of me will go on...

  22. Congrats on your "blog of note" and also to your nephew for his new lease on life. My brother got a lovely, perfect kidney from his daughter and has done wonderfully the last few years. I work in surgery and know what the gift of life can mean to someone and their families.

  25. Glad your nephew is OK.

A little different, i know (being non-living donations!), but here in the UK, there have been debates raging on in parliament for ages about whether the organ donation scheme should be opt-out rather than opt-in. Personally, I'm in favour of the idea, as I have loads of friends who claim they want to donate, but don't carry a donations card with them!

    Congrats on the BONe
